On the afternoon of December 30, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a conference for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in 2024 and deployed tasks for 2025.
Attending the Conference were Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Party Central Committee member, Vice President - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Ms. To Thi Bich Chau, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.
The report on the 2024 work results of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee clearly stated that, closely following the leadership and direction of the Party Delegation, the Standing Committee, the heads of the agencies, departments and units have made efforts and proactively advised on the contents of the 2024 Action Plan of the Standing Committee, the plans of the departments and units and the sudden and arising tasks with a larger volume, scale, nature of work, more important, and faster progress than in the previous years of the term.
Coordination between cadres and civil servants; between departments, units and with ministries, branches and localities has been improved in quality, becoming increasingly close, substantial and effective. Caring for the lives of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Agency has been ensured in difficult conditions. The spirit of solidarity, building a civilized office culture, practicing thrift, fighting waste and negativity continues to be promoted.
Speaking at the Conference, Chairman Do Van Chien affirmed that in 2024, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front closely followed the work plan, closely followed the direction of the Central Committee, regularly and directly from the Politburo, the Secretariat and the Standing Secretariat; took advantage of opportunities and advantages, overcame difficulties and challenges and strived to successfully complete the assigned tasks, achieving goals and requirements. The 10 outstanding activities and events in 2024 demonstrated the comprehensive performance results of the Agency.
Referring to four historical events that contributed to enhancing the role, position and prestige of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman Do Van Chien said that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has innovated its thinking and actively participated in organizing very successful activities towards the 70th Anniversary of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory, with two impressive activities: mobilizing the completion of 5,500 houses for poor households in Dien Bien province and the Northwestern provinces; organizing meetings and expressing gratitude to more than 14,000 Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline workers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign, creating a huge spread in society.
Along with that, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front focused on directing and successfully organizing the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term and the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. At the same time, it focused on and coordinated with the Central Emulation and Reward Council to launch a nationwide emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025, with an expected completion of about 370,000 houses in 2025.
“From the success in Dien Bien to the expansion across the country, this activity has received the attention and profound direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat, and the encouragement, sharing and very specific instructions of General Secretary To Lam,” Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized.
Also according to Chairman Do Van Chien, in 2024, with its efforts, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front issued an appeal and promptly mobilized social resources of VND 2,700 billion from agencies, organizations and individuals at home and abroad to support people affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi), which was highly appreciated by public opinion for its urgency, timeliness and effectiveness; at the same time, the amount of support and resource allocation to households affected by storm No. 3 was public and transparent, the list of families receiving support was publicly posted at the headquarters of the Commune People's Committee, subject to the supervision of the people.
"These results have contributed to enhancing the role, position and prestige of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the great national unity bloc," Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized.
Based on the content of Decision No. 217-QD/TW on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman Do Van Chien requested that departments and units urgently review, amend, and supplement the working regulations and other related regulations; promptly deploy tasks according to Decision 217 of the Politburo to continue promoting a higher spirit of solidarity and unity, deploying work faster and more effectively to complete assigned tasks.
According to Chairman Do Van Chien, along with completing the tasks of 2024, implementing the tasks of 2025, first of all, the traditional Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Head of the Agency, and the Trade Union of the Agency need to take care of Tet for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in accordance with the Directive of the Secretariat; advise on visiting and giving Tet gifts to people with meritorious services, the poor, people in difficult circumstances, people in especially difficult economic areas, borders, and islands so that Tet comes to everyone, every family across the country.
Chairman Do Van Chien hopes that all cadres, civil servants and public employees of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will unite, agree, join hands and unite to build a strong Agency; coordinate with the Party Committee of the agency to assist the Committee, the Presidium and the Standing Committee, ensuring the fulfillment of the noble mission of gathering, mobilizing, motivating and building an increasingly strong national solidarity bloc.
On this occasion, Chairman Do Van Chien sent his best wishes to all cadres, civil servants and public employees of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to welcome the new year with good health, happy families, and to compete together and successfully complete assigned tasks.
Receiving opinions at the Conference, Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha affirmed that the efforts, attempts, determination and consensus of all staff, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Agency have made important contributions, deciding the success of the advisory work for the Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee with a large amount of work in 2024; along with many outstanding activities and regular tasks such as propaganda, gathering the great national unity bloc, supervision, social criticism...
Vice President - General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha suggested that in the coming time, each cadre, civil servant, public employee and employee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee will be more determined, make more efforts, be more responsible and enthusiastic, and coordinate to complete the tasks set out in 2025.
At the Conference, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Head of the Organization and Personnel Department, received the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in recognition of their outstanding achievements in implementing Decision No. 78 dated November 9, 2021 of the Prime Minister. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee awarded the Emulation Flag to 4 collectives in recognition of their outstanding achievements in 2024; awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 22 individuals. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee recognized the title of "Excellent Labor Collective" for 14 collectives, the title of "Advanced Labor Collective" for 1 collective; awarded Certificates of Merit to 49 individuals; recognized the title of "Grassroots Emulation Fighter" for 13 individuals, the title of "Advanced Laborer" for 184 individuals. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 41 individuals; awarded Certificates of Merit from the Standing Committee to 2 groups and 35 individuals in recognition of their outstanding achievements in advising and serving the successful organization of the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.
