Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks during a meeting with a delegation of African leaders at the Strelna Palace in Strelna, Saint Petersburg, Russia, on June 17. The delegation arrived in Russia a day after visiting Ukraine and meeting with President Zelensky, promoting a 10-point peace roadmap designed to end the conflict between Kiev and Moscow, now in its second year. At the meeting, after presentations by the presidents of Comoran, Senegal and South Africa, Putin expressed a view that contradicted the assumptions of their plan, which is to accept internationally recognized borders.
