Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee
The Deputy Minister assigned the Department of Ethnic Culture to take the lead in coordinating and urging units to carry out tasks according to their assigned functions and tasks. At the same time, closely coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ninh Thuan province to complete the Festival organization plan.
The Deputy Minister requested that the draft plan for organizing the Festival should be completed soon based on the opinions of 11 provinces and participating units. The purpose is to ensure that the Festival is truly meaningful, impressive and professional. In case of any problems, it is necessary to proactively meet and report to the Ministry's leaders for resolution.
The 6th Cham Cultural Festival takes place at the same time as the Cham people celebrate the Kate festival.
"The festival needs to be organized solemnly, effectively, safely, economically, creating a joyful, exciting, united atmosphere, promoting the spirit of pride in the Cham ethnic culture in the rich Vietnamese culture. In addition, the idea throughout the activities within the framework of the festival is for cultural subjects to introduce themselves about the cultural beauty of their ethnic group, through performance and promotion activities. Festivals and traditional cultural rituals must simulate in a general way the cultural and folk beliefs of the Cham ethnic group, expressing the national cultural identity; promoting positive factors and eliminating negative, backward factors that are no longer suitable for today's cultural life.
At the same time, the series of activities needs to have practical significance in orienting the work of preserving Cham ethnic culture in association with tourism development. From there, improving the material and spiritual life of the Cham ethnic community" - Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy requested./.
