Thousands of young people wearing traditional Vietnamese costumes at "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai 2025" lined up around the stands with the background music "Mot vong Viet Nam" making the audience watching the program both excited and emotional.
Connecting youth with national culture
To set a Guinness World Record for the title "Event with the largest number of participants wearing traditional Vietnamese costumes", the organizers of the concert "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai 2025" called for and attracted more than 5,000 young people to participate.

The 5th season of "Blue Hair and Ao Dai 2025" took place on March 22 and 23 at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU-HCM with the mission of bringing Vietnamese traditional costumes and culture into harmony with contemporary life. This is the first time that "Blue Hair and Ao Dai" has organized a Vietnamese traditional costume performance combined with a flashmob, attracting thousands of participants in traditional costumes. This is not only a stage for splendid Vietnamese costumes but also a place where every step on the catwalk affirms a strong statement: Today's young generation not only inherits the heritage but also continues to write the cultural story in their own way.
Previously, "Vietnamese Traits" - a journey with Gen Z to preserve Vietnamese cultural identity, also left many impressions. The project to preserve and develop the culture "Vietnamese Traits" marks the enthusiastic efforts of Gen Z in preserving and spreading traditional Vietnamese values, thereby connecting young people with traditional values through creative products imbued with national identity.

With experiential activities such as exploring traditional craft villages, learning about typical cuisine and folk art, "Vietnamese Features" truly connects young people with their ancestors' heritage. Hundreds of videos made over 5 years have been integrated into digital video series, capturing the quintessence of traditional craft villages, culinary flavors and folk art from all regions of the S-shaped strip of land.
Join hands to preserve Vietnamese cultural identity
Founder and producer of "Vietnamese Traits" Pham Thi Hanh Chi said the project was born in the general flow of the nation towards the national culture. This is the special interest of a part of the dynamic, responsible and enthusiastic youth towards the traditional beauty of the Vietnamese people. The organizers of "Vietnamese Traits" hope that the efforts in preserving and promoting national culture will contribute to creating a young generation who love their homeland and are proud of the history and cultural heritage of the country.
Recently, at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street, the workshop "Connecting, Connecting Puppetry" aimed to raise awareness of young people about the art of water puppetry, attracting young people. The event is an open space for young people who are passionate about creativity and love folk art. Participants experienced and explored the unique art of water puppetry in Vietnam, listened to the sharing about puppetry art from Master Tran Duoc, Deputy Head of the Southern Dragon Puppetry Troupe - Southern Art Theater, and personally kneaded puppets under the enthusiastic guidance of the artisans.
This project is carried out by the Nha cua Teu group. The group consists of young people from Gen Z who have a special love and are trying to promote traditional arts on modern media platforms. It is expected that on March 29, at Thu Duc Book Street, there will be a water puppet show with the theme "Roc ra roc ra". This is a unique combination of tradition and modernity, where lively puppets recreate familiar stories with modern music and sophisticated lighting effects.
Not only in traditional arts, music is also one of the effective means of conveying and spreading traditional culture today. "Thanks to the song "Bong phu hoa" I like the work "Chuyen nguoi con gai Nam Xuong", "My class danced and sang the song "Day xe ox" and won the first prize in the school's art competition", "When reviewing literature, I listened to Phuong My Chi's album "Vu tru co bay" all the time"... Those are the responses that Phuong My Chi and the DTAP music production team received after the album "Vu tru co bay" was released.
Last year, Phuong My Chi and DTAP’s compositions inspired by folk literature and music were well received by the audience. Not only them, many young people also love and preserve the national cultural identity in their own way.
Singer Phuong My Chi shared: "Currently, Chi feels that the blending of tradition and modernity in products is no longer simply a hobby, it is a responsibility. Chi thinks she has to be more serious in conveying traditional values to young people. Chi continues to renew herself, but no matter how she changes, the folk and national qualities will always be present in Chi."
With producer DTAP: "The more products we make, the more we realize that we need to understand deeply to be able to create quality works. In addition to updating technology and trendy music in the world, DTAP also studies the thousand-year-old musical treasure of our nation. After the success of See Tinh (Hoang Thuy Linh), DTAP hopes to have more hits to bring Vietnamese folk music to the world."
When appearing on the stage of Rap Viet season 3, Double2T left his mark with rap songs imbued with the ethnic identity of the highlands. Not only that, the male rapper's costumes and style also created a unique and unmistakable quality. When performing, the audience did not call the Rap Viet champion Double2T but affectionately called him "a quality mountain person". Double2T said: "The audience has recognized Double2T through his ethnic identity, so I don't want to change. There are many interesting things about life in the highlands, I think I can't write about them all in my life."
"Efforts to preserve and promote national culture will contribute to creating a young generation that loves their homeland and is proud of the country's history and cultural heritage.
