Ea H'leo wind farm, Dak Lak (Video: Bao An)
Ea H'leo wind farm is designed with 108 turbines, each turbine tower is 94m high, the 2.4MW type has the largest wingspan in Vietnam, so when you come here you will be overwhelmed by its majestic and massive scenery.
Although it does not have a sea view like Bac Lieu wind power plant or is located in the middle of green rice fields like in Tuy Phong, Ea H'leo wind power plant still fascinates us with the wild, pristine beauty of the mountains and clouds of the Central Highlands.
You can pose at many different check-in angles such as: giant fan blades, towering electric poles, stairs leading up to the turbine...
The best time to take pictures at Ea H'leo wind farm is at sunset or at dawn.
How to get to Ea H'leo wind farm:
Passenger bus : If you go from Hanoi, you can book a sleeper bus of Hoang Quy, Thanh Khue, Cao Nguyen, Minh Vuong... at Giap Bat bus station or Anh Khoi, Hai Cuong, Hung Tien... at My Dinh bus station to Lien Minh bus station of Dak Lak province with ticket prices ranging from 650,000 to 800,000 VND/person/ticket. If you go from Saigon, you can book a bus of Anh Khoa, Kumho, Hong Hai, Ha Phuong Tourist, Quynh Huong, Ngoc Anh... at Mien Dong bus station to Dak Lak with prices ranging from 200,000 to 300,000 VND/person/ticket.
Plane : If you want to shorten your travel time, you can book a flight with airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air or Bamboo Airways to Buon Ma Thuot airport. Of course, in return, this way will be much more expensive.
From Buon Ma Thuot to Ea H'leo:
From Buon Ma Thuot, you can take a taxi or motorbike taxi to Ea H'leo wind turbine field or rent a motorbike to travel by yourself. It is recommended to rent a self-driving car because the road is both easy to travel and beautiful, you can also be proactive in terms of time and save costs for the trip.
If you drive yourself, look up Google Maps at coordinates 5769-QD or find km82 to go to Ea H'leo district, then ask the locals in the area to go to Dlieyang commune, when you see Y-Jut secondary school, turn onto the road right next to the school, continue for about 3 to 4km more to get there, the travel time only takes more than 1 hour.
Some notes at Ea H'leo wind farm:
- Admission is free so no one will watch your bike, so to ensure the safety of your belongings, lock your bike carefully and don't go too far from the parking area.
- Located on a high hill, without trees to cover, the wind turbine field in Dak Lak often receives the full rays of the sun, especially at noon when the sun is extremely harsh and can burn the skin and affect health. Therefore, it is best to come here early in the morning or late in the afternoon to enjoy the cool, fresh air. If you are in a comfortable mood, the photos will be more beautiful, right?
