The festival is not only an opportunity for students, teachers and parents to immerse themselves in a colorful cultural space, but also an opportunity to spread the unique cultural beauty of 54 ethnic groups to the community.

The special performances by the school's students created a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. Along with that, the New Rice Celebration ceremony of the K'Ho people, recreated by the gong performance team from Hiep An commune (Duc Trong district), brought the audience back to the traditional cultural roots of the Central Highlands people. Celebrating the New Rice is a long-standing custom of the Central Highlands ethnic groups. Following the rice cultivation cycle, after the harvest, the Central Highlands people often hold the New Rice Celebration ceremony, both to thank the Yang and the gods for giving them a good harvest and a prosperous life, and also to celebrate the fruits of their labor together,... This is a ceremony imbued with the belief in animism, a unique cultural identity.

One of the most anticipated activities of the festival is the performance of Vietnamese ethnic costumes. The students confidently walked on stage, introducing unique traditional costumes, expressing their pride in their ethnic cultural identity. With this content, the students understood more about the meaning of their ethnic costumes and those of other ethnic groups in Vietnam.

In addition, the exhibition and culinary booths also attracted a lot of attention from visitors. Here, specialties of the Central Highlands ethnic groups such as bamboo rice, grilled chicken, and can wine were introduced and served, bringing unforgettable culinary experiences. The costumes, jewelry, utensils, and dishes were prepared and displayed, reflecting the rich spiritual life of the Vietnamese ethnic groups. Ka Nhinh said: “I am very happy and moved to participate in the ethnic cultural festival organized by the school. Through the festival, I have a better understanding of the New Rice Celebration ceremony, learned about the traditional costumes of each ethnic group, and enjoyed typical dishes... I realized that each ethnic group has its own unique cultural features, making me more proud of the cultural diversity of the ethnic groups in my country. And most importantly, I have the opportunity to exchange, learn, have fun, and build solidarity with everyone in the school.”

The festival ended with a warm campfire program, where students, teachers and parents sang and danced together, creating a meaningful cultural exchange space.

Mr. Vu Nam Lam - Vice Principal of Duc Trong Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School, shared: "Duc Trong District Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School is a place for students of the K'Ho, Churu, Thai, Muong, Tay, Nung, Tho, Dao, Raglay, Ma, Cham and Kinh ethnic groups to live and study. The festival is organized to honor the good traditional cultural values, preserve and promote the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic minorities in the unified and diverse culture of the community of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups in general and of Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province in particular. Through this festival, we also aim to create opportunities for students of the school to learn and appreciate the traditional cultural values of their ethnic groups. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of solidarity among ethnic groups, building a multicultural and rich educational environment".

The Ethnic Culture Festival at Duc Trong Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities left many deep impressions in the hearts of participants. This event not only contributed to preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people, but was also a meaningful educational activity, helping students to become more mature in their awareness and actions.
