Vietnam Airlines Corporation (VNA) has just decided to apply enhanced aviation security control measures to level 2 for its affiliated units.

This is an activity to implement the decision dated June 11 of the Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam on applying enhanced aviation security control measures and to proactively ensure security and safety for people, assets, and operations of the Corporation.

Specifically, apply enhanced aviation security control measures to level 2 at the Corporation's units and operations at airports in Buon Ma Thuot, Pleiku, Tuy Hoa, Phu Cat, and Lien Khuong.

Other agencies and units are required to increase patrols, control, closely monitor all activities, review plans, be ready to respond to emergencies, maintain communication, and promptly report emerging situations.

Level 2 aviation security measures will be in place from June 11 until further notice.

In addition, VNA also requires agencies and units to ensure sufficient resources and reasonable labor division during the peak summer season.

Arrange competent personnel to promptly resolve the needs, legitimate interests, problems and concerns of passengers, and prevent disputes and disorder and insecurity at airports, airfields and office areas.

At the same time, regularly exchange information and coordinate with airport authorities and local authorities in ensuring security, promptly handling violations of security regulations in check-in areas, restricted areas and on aircraft.

VNA also requires agencies and units to increase patrols, supervision, ensure security and order, and closely check people and vehicles entering and leaving the unit's headquarters to promptly detect and prevent intrusion, disturbance, and sabotage activities.
