On February 28, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Minister of Public Security on organizational structure and the decision of the Provincial Police Director on personnel work.

At the announcement ceremony, Colonel Vu Nhu Ha, Party Secretary and Director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police, said that the Provincial Police have proactively and actively advised and closely coordinated with relevant departments and branches to prepare conditions to receive 5 groups of tasks from departments and branches.

With many new tasks to be taken on, the leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police have issued 45 decisions to transfer and arrange for 45 officers at the head and deputy head level of the police departments of districts, towns and cities to receive new tasks at the provincial police departments, commune police and units under the provincial police.

At the Announcement Ceremony, the Director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police also handed over the decision to retire from work and enjoy retirement benefits from March 1, 2025 to 9 officers of the Office of the Investigation Police Agency; the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order; the Party Committee Inspection Committee; the Criminal Techniques Department; Vung Tau City Police; the Mobile Police Department; the Professional Techniques Department; the Department of Investigation of Drug-related Crimes and Ba Ria City Police.

On the same day, February 28, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province held a ceremony to transfer functions and tasks from departments to the provincial police.

These tasks include: state management and implementation of aviation security; state management of network information security; state management of testing and issuance of road motor vehicle driving licenses; state management of criminal records and implementation of public services to issue criminal records; state management of drug addiction treatment and post-drug addiction treatment management;...

After receiving, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police will unify management, overcome the situation of division, one task is undertaken by many agencies; reduce coordination mechanisms;... Thereby, improve the quality and efficiency of work, serve the people and businesses in the area best and fastest.

With careful preparation and the highest sense of responsibility, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police are ready to effectively implement the new model starting from March 1, 2025. In addition, there will be no district-level police in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, and the operations of 7 district-level police and 67 team-level units under the district-level police will end.

The new organization of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Police includes 26 Department-level units, 77 Commune-level Police and 2 Police Stations.
