With the goal of developing Phu Luong tea industry in association with restructuring the agricultural sector towards sustainability, modernity, and quality improvement, the district strives to expand the tea area to 4,500 hectares by 2030, with fresh tea bud output reaching over 51,000 tons. Of which, 70% of the tea area is certified for production according to GAP and organic standards; 70% of the tea area is granted a growing area code. The district also strives for the value of tea products to reach 2,000 billion VND/year.
Implementing Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU dated February 3, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee on the development of Thai Nguyen tea industry in the period of 2025-2030, to complete the above goals, Phu Luong district is actively implementing many solutions, such as: Continuing to review and perfect mechanisms, policies and mobilize investment resources to develop the tea industry; perfecting the planning of production areas associated with planning and plans for using agricultural and forestry land to expand the tea growing area in the area; focusing on applying science and technology in tea production and processing.
