Su Hao Jia (11th grade student, Hai Luong High School) is a candidate of the Chinese team participating in the International Mathematical Olympiad for 2 consecutive years and won a Gold medal. Surpassing more than 600 competitors in the world this year, Hao Jia became the only candidate to achieve a perfect score of 42/42.

Born and raised in the countryside, Hao Gia was fortunate to have his talent in Mathematics discovered early. At the age of 9, he completed his secondary school mathematics knowledge. In 2017, participating in the national mathematics competition for primary school students, Hao Gia won a gold medal.

This achievement helped Hao Gia become a student of teacher Du Thuy Nang - a person who specializes in training and nurturing young math talents. Under the guidance of his teachers, at the age of 13, Hao Gia approached university math knowledge.

In 2021, he participated in the selection of the Qiu Chengtong Mathematical Science Talent Training Program of Tsinghua University and was accepted. However, Hao Jia decided to refuse admission to attend a village school.

After entering Hai Luong High School (Zhejiang, China), the male student not only developed freely in the world of Mathematics, but also received special attention from the school in nurturing his talents. With a personalized education method, which means focusing on the strengths of the learner, Hao Gia has achieved a perfect score in the International Math Olympiad for two consecutive years (2023-2024).

Hao Gia's achievements are the result of a student-centered educational environment. Teachers always remind the male student to study first, then achieve, then compete.

The family never puts pressure on Hao Gia if his results drop. His parents always cooperate with the school to create a healthy learning environment for their child.

In the eyes of teachers, Hao Gia is a calm and self-disciplined student. When faced with a difficult math problem, Hao Gia is so absorbed in solving it that he forgets to eat or sleep. Even when his friends have rested, the male student still sits in the dormitory to solve the problem.

Sharing his learning method, Hao Gia said: "At school, I always study systematically. Thanks to that, my skills are improved quickly. This helps me be more free in my journey to explore the world of Mathematics that I love."

Before Hao Jia, Luo Wei (1991-1992), Fu Yunhao (2002-2003) and Wei Yidong (2008-2009) also achieved perfect scores for two consecutive years, winning Gold Medals for China. In 2024, with a total score of 190, China ranked second after the US.
