US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said on November 3 that the US State Department has funded Kiev to establish 800 mobile teams responsible for dealing with attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including the Geran UAV.

Mobile anti-UAV teams operate in various areas across Ukraine.
According to US Ambassador Bridget Brink, since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian mobile units have shot down more than 200 UAVs. The main task of these groups is to quickly respond to UAV threats, which frequently attack critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
In addition, Australia has transferred to Ukraine a batch of Joint Direct Attack Munition Extended-Range (JDAM-ER) glide bombs, which the Royal Australian Air Force recently withdrew from service.
JDAM is equipped with GPS navigation and inertial control systems, a toolkit capable of turning conventional bombs into guided bombs.
The JDAM-ER version was developed by Defense Science and Technology Group experts with Boeing and Ferra Engineering in the early 2000s, allowing bombs to hit targets at a distance of more than 72 km when dropped from above.
Meanwhile, the Russian army took control of two important settlements, Kurakhovka and Shakhterskoye, and advanced into the areas of Maksimilyanovka, Verbovoy, Novoselidovka, Volchenka and Maksimovka.
According to the DeepState website, the control of the above territories shows the increasing pressure on the positions of the Ukrainian army (VSU) in Donetsk, especially in the areas around Kurakhovka - where Russian forces are planning to continue their attack.
Military experts say this move will create favorable positions for the Russian army in many subsequent operations, especially near the VSU defense lines.
In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the country's military has taken control of the village of Vishnevoye in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Vishnevoye village is part of the Selidovo City Council.
On October 29, the Russian army announced that it had captured the strategic city of Selidovo, about 40 km northwest of the capital Donetsk.
