Vietnam, Singapore exchange many important cooperation documents

Cooperation documents between the two countries' ministries and sectors include: Letter of Intent on cooperation in building an Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the period 2025-2030 between the two countries' Ministries of Foreign Affairs; Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of digital development and innovation between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Ministry of Digital Development and Information of Singapore; Letter of Intent on enhancing cross-border electricity trade cooperation towards the ASEAN power grid between the two countries' Ministries of Industry and Trade.

The two Prime Ministers witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of digital development and innovation between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Ministry of Digital Development and Information Technology of Singapore.

Along with that, the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam and the Singapore Electronic Money Transfer Network have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on implementing bilateral retail payments via QR codes between Vietnam and Singapore; the Vietnam Friendship Association and the Singapore International Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.

The two Prime Ministers also witnessed the handover of decisions appointing the Chairmen of the VSIP International Advisory Council on Science, Technology and Innovation, including Prof. Aaron Thean (Vice President and Rector of the National University of Singapore). The Council was announced to be established within the framework of General Secretary To Lam’s official visit to Singapore. The council members are leading experts from prestigious educational institutions in Singapore.

The two Prime Ministers witnessed the handover of decisions appointing the Chairman of the VSIP International Advisory Council on Science, Technology and Innovation.

During Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s visit to Vietnam, the two sides will continue to discuss the implementation and realization of the Vietnam-Singapore Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; share strategic goals and issues of mutual concern to overcome difficulties, enhance resilience and rise strongly./.
