(QBĐT) - On March 26, the Provincial Military Command (CHQS) held a meeting to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Vietnam Militia and Self-Defense Force (DQTV) Tradition Day (March 28, 1935 - March 28, 2025). Colonel Doan Sinh Hoa, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command chaired the meeting.
Attending the event were comrade Hoang Xuan Tan, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, and localities.
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the traditions and glorious achievements in building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam People's Army.
The People's Army is a mass armed force, not separated from production and work, and is a part of the people's armed forces with an important role in the revolutionary struggle under the leadership of the Party.
After 90 years of building, fighting and growing, the Vietnam People's Army and the entire nation have defeated all invaders, adding to the glorious history of building and defending the country, making the Ho Chi Minh era shine.
During the two wars to protect the Fatherland at the Northern and Southwestern borders, the Militia and Self-Defense Forces coordinated with other forces to fight tenaciously and bravely to protect the independence, sovereignty , and territorial integrity of the Fatherland.

Entering the period of innovation, the militia and self-defense force is organized and staffed in accordance with practical situations, with standing and mobile forces, arms, and militia and self-defense forces operating at sea under the direction of local military agencies.
Together with the militia forces of the whole country, under the direct leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the militia and self-defense forces and the people of Quang Binh united to overcome all sacrifices and hardships, fought tenaciously, achieved many feats, and beautified the revolutionary tradition of the homeland and the tradition of the provincial armed forces.
On this occasion, 6 collectives and 4 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in building the militia and self-defense force.
