Exhibition of Vietnamese Antiques through the ages at Quang Ngai Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center
The exhibition introduces more than 300 valuable ceramic artifacts, demonstrating the development and characteristics of Vietnamese pottery through historical periods from the 11th to the 20th century.
In particular, the exhibition displays famous ceramic collections such as My Thien ceramics in Binh Son; Chu Dau ceramics from ancient shipwrecks in Cu Lao Cham and Binh Chau (Binh Son); Chu Dau ceramics from Hai Duong and Chu Dau ceramic samples from the Early Le Dynasty (1428-1527)...
These artifacts are not only living proof of the sophistication of traditional crafts but also important milestones in Vietnamese history and culture.
Mr. Vo Hoa Nam, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial Cultural Heritage Association, shared: “Quang Ngai currently has many antique collectors, preserving ceramic artifacts of extremely important historical and cultural value. In this exhibition, collectors have introduced hundreds of ceramic artifacts, captivating the hearts of art lovers and the public.”
Through the exhibition, the Organizing Committee hopes to arouse love for the homeland and awareness of preserving traditional Vietnamese cultural values. Mr. Nam also emphasized that the exhibition not only helps raise public awareness of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage, but is also an opportunity to bring this heritage closer to domestic and foreign tourists.
