Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 kicks off: Surprise with livestream sales competition

After 2 seasons held in Vietnam, Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 has just been announced to return. Notably, the representative of the organizing committee revealed that this year's competition format, although closely following the "mother competition" and the host competition Miss Grand Thailand, will have many changes.

Miss Grand Vietnam President, Ms. Pham Kim Dung, said that closely following the host contest as the organizing committee of the mother contest Miss Grand International will bring good preparation for Vietnamese contestants in the international arena.

Accordingly, the Best Seller award is one of the innovations that has received much attention from Miss Grand Thailand in recent years. Specifically, contestants will livestream to sell products and the award is calculated based on the sales that the beauties earn at the end of the contest.

“We are not sure if Miss Grand International will have a Best Seller competition, but following the host competition Miss Grand Thailand is also a good preparation for the Vietnamese representative. Moreover, in the era of 4.0 sales, we think that letting contestants be exposed to this method is also an opportunity for them to experience new jobs, which they may be able to apply after the competition ends,” CEO Pham Kim Dung shared.

Notably, at Miss Grand Vietnam 2024, the organizers decided to add the Grand Voice Awards to find the musical talents of the beauties. This is the first competition to appear within the framework of Miss Grand Vietnam 2024. The beauties will have the opportunity to show off their musical and singing talents to the audience. This promises to be a "playground" that brings together many outstanding faces in terms of appearance, talent and enthusiasm.

“We are always objective. The Grand Voice Awards is one of the competitions, but it will bring opportunities for talented singers and performers to show themselves. If you have made an effort to shine, and at the same time found a common voice with us, and agreed to cooperate and develop, then there is no reason for us to refuse each other,” said the competition’s President.

The organizers added that this year's contest will take place around July and August in Ho Chi Minh City with many highly anticipated competitions. The new Miss will represent Vietnam at the international arena Miss Grand International 2024.

Previously, Miss Le Hoang Phuong was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023. When the new season started, the beauty queen from Khanh Hoa shared: “Miss Le Hoang Phuong is always a new and challenging journey for the contestants. When participating in the contest, Phuong also discovered many new things about herself. When the 2024 season returns, Phuong is even more excited and eager, because she doesn't know how many more talented beauties she will meet, as well as how the contest will be organized more grandly. As for her successor, Phuong hopes that she will be an open-minded, active, dynamic girl who is always progressive on her journey.”
