(NLDO) - Increasing the operation of metro line 1 during Tet helps reduce traffic pressure and bring a modern and convenient travel experience.
In order to meet the increased travel demand during the 2025 Lunar New Year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport and the Urban Railway One Member Co., Ltd. (HURC1) have agreed to adjust the operation plan of metro line 1, increase the number of trains and extend passenger service time.

Accordingly, from 6:30 p.m. on January 29 (the first day of the Lunar New Year), metro line 1 will operate with a frequency of 9 minutes/trip, lasting until 10 p.m. on the same day. In the following days, from January 30 to February 2, 2025, the train will operate according to the schedule from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In addition, in each period before, during and after Tet, the number of trains and the time between trips will be flexibly adjusted to best meet the travel needs of people and tourists.
The increased operation of Metro Line 1 during Tet not only helps reduce traffic pressure in the city but also brings a modern and convenient travel experience to passengers. Metro is expected to become an important public transport, helping to quickly connect areas, while creating conditions for people to enjoy the spring atmosphere comfortably and safely.
HURC1 recommends that passengers follow schedule information on official information channels to have a reasonable travel plan, avoiding waiting or overloading during peak hours.
