Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee has announced a list of two new administrative procedures in the field of karaoke service business, including: granting licenses for eligibility to conduct karaoke service business; granting licenses to adjust karaoke service business.

The application for a license to operate karaoke services will be reviewed by relevant agencies within 3 days and the license will be issued 3 days after the review results are available.

To be granted an operating license, establishments must ensure that the karaoke room has a minimum area of ​​20 m², excluding ancillary structures; and ensure standards of security, order, and fire prevention and fighting. In particular, karaoke rooms must not be equipped with internal door latches or alarm devices, except for fire alarms.

The fee for karaoke business license procedures in urban and town areas is 4 million VND/license (1-3 rooms), 6 million VND/license (4-5 rooms), 12 million VND/license (6 rooms or more).

Other areas will have fees ranging from 2 - 6 million VND depending on the number of registered karaoke rooms.

For establishments that already have a karaoke service business license and change the number of business rooms or change the owner, it is necessary to carry out procedures for granting a license to adjust karaoke service business.

The fee for procedures to increase the number of karaoke rooms in urban areas and towns ranges from 2 to 12 million VND/license, depending on the number; other areas range from 1 to 6 million VND/license. For procedures to change ownership, the fee is 500,000 VND/license.
