This is a meaningful activity in the program "Wings of Dreams" organized by the Union of the Supreme People's Procuracy's Investigation Agency in coordination with the Life and Law Magazine and direct sponsors at the Dang Commune Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Dang Commune, Tay Giang).
Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy, together with leaders of functional departments, local Procuracy, Tay Giang District People's Committee, and representatives of Life and Law Magazine presented gifts to each preschool child and student of kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Dung, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy, presented gifts to poor students in Dang commune at the program "Lighting up dreams".
Accordingly, the program presented 400 gifts including necessities, school supplies, warm clothes, and cash to students and their families in difficult circumstances in Dang commune. At the same time, the program presented 12 sets of computers and 3 televisions to schools, 10 bunk beds, and nearly 100 warm blankets to kindergartens and Dang Commune Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Tam, Principal of Xa Dang Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, shared that the school has nearly 300 students. Of which, over 50% are children of poor households and have difficult circumstances.
While students in the lowlands have the conditions to celebrate Tet and enjoy Spring, most students in the area find joy in the simple atmosphere with their families, even without new clothes... The gift giving program not only brings Spring early to students, helping children have the conditions to celebrate Tet with new clothes and necessities, but also truly "lights up dreams", fosters the spirit of learning, and overcoming adversity for teachers and students of the school.
Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy Nguyen Quang Dung presented gifts to the school and students.
According to Mr. Pham Sau, Chairman of Dang Commune People's Committee, Dang Commune is a particularly difficult commune compared to other localities in the area. The whole commune has 5 ethnic groups living together, of which nearly 70% are poor households. The economy of the households is mainly slash-and-burn farming, so life is still very difficult. Many households do not have the conditions to take care of their children going to school and having a full education.
“Today's Lighting Up Dreams program is a great source of encouragement for children, students and families right before the New Year and preparing to welcome the upcoming Spring 2024,” Mr. Sau emphasized.
Speaking and directly presenting gifts to the students, Mr. Dinh Thanh Dung, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy, said that the children of Dang commune not only have financial difficulties but also have geographical conditions and the way to school is far and difficult.
With the spirit of sharing, helping each other, the Investigation Agency's Trade Union has launched a program to encourage and motivate the children to study, calling on employees, sponsors and Life and Law Magazine to implement the program.
Mr. Pham Xuan Hoi, Head of Department 4 of the Supreme People's Procuracy's Investigation Agency, and Mr. Tran Son Tung, resident reporter representing Life and Law Magazine, presented gifts to students.
This is also an annual activity of the functional units of the Institute and is being expanded to remote and isolated localities and mountainous areas.
“The program has the cooperation of sponsors, Life and Law Magazine to spread the spirit of mutual love, sharing and companionship to have more resources to support and encourage people and children in the highlands of Quang Nam and the whole country.
The gift, although not large, will help the school and students to reduce difficulties and have access to information technology, help improve knowledge, learn many useful things to contribute to building the homeland and the country. And have more conditions to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year", Mr. Dung shared.
