In 2024, the patriotic emulation movement in Tay Giang district was widely deployed, with many creative and effective models and methods, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security and improving people's lives.

During the year, the locality completed and exceeded 16/17 assigned targets. Total state budget revenue is estimated at over VND990 billion, reaching 198% of the plan; of which domestic revenue is over VND28 billion, reaching 100% of the resolution target. Total grain output is over 5,200 tons, reaching 105.9% of the resolution target. The locality newly planted 708 hectares of medicinal plants and fruit trees.

Regarding new rural construction, an average of 14 criteria/commune is achieved; 10 villages meet the model new rural standards. The poverty rate accounts for 43.16% with 2,468 households, a decrease of 390 poor households compared to 2023. The district has approved funding to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for 504 houses, reaching 126% of the assigned target.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Tay Giang district awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 62 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in 2024; honored 47 individuals with the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level...
