(CLO) On February 17, the Youth Union of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in the Central Highlands region coordinated with the VNA Resident Office in Phu Yen to present smart devices to the Phu Yen Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

This is a meaningful activity within the framework of the youth project "Dinh Huu Du Bookcase" launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam News Agency.

The donated device is a modern 65-inch LED TV, integrated with an artificial intelligence processor. This device will serve to look up documents and support teaching and learning activities at school, providing students in mountainous areas with more interesting and effective learning experiences.

Journalist Le Phuoc Nhu Ngoc, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Central Region's resident agencies, shared: "In 2025, 'Dinh Huu Du Bookshelf' will be implemented in Phu Yen province. This is a youth project aiming to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam News Agency."

According to the plan, the Youth Union of the Vietnam News Agency in the Central Highlands region will continue to coordinate with the Youth Union of Phu Yen University to donate many books for study and entertainment to students in the mountainous areas of Phu Yen province. The total value of the youth project "Dinh Huu Du Bookcase" in Phu Yen is about 30 million VND, mobilized from socialized funding sources.

"Dinh Huu Du Bookcase" is a meaningful project, named after the young journalist Dinh Huu Du of Vietnam News Agency, who sacrificed his life while working in Yen Bai in 2017. During his lifetime, Dinh Huu Du always cherished the dream of bringing books and school supplies to students in ethnic minority areas. To continue that dream, the Youth Union of Vietnam News Agency launched the "Dinh Huu Du Bookcase" model.

Up to now, with the support of many philanthropists, 29 "Dinh Huu Du Bookcases" have been deployed, bringing knowledge and nurturing dreams to poor students in many localities across the country.
