Having the opportunity to visit Mrs. Vu Thi Hoa's family in Lam Son ward with the officers of the Hung Yen City Military Command, the small road leading to the peaceful house, with shady trees on both sides. The new, spacious house stands out in the simple space of the neighborhood. Seeing us, Mrs. Hoa smiled kindly, her eyes shining with joy, being in a sturdy house, she seemed to forget the hard, anxious days when she lived in the old house in the past.

Representative of Hung Yen City Military Command presented support money to Ms. Vu Thi Hoa's family.

Ms. Hoa, over 70 years old, participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country. Previously, she lived in a seriously degraded house with a leaky roof and peeling walls. Life was difficult, especially on rainy days. Faced with that situation, the Hung Yen Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) and local authorities to review and propose support for rebuilding the "Dai Doan Ket" house to help her have a solid and safe place to live. The new house has an area of about 60 square meters, solidly built with a corrugated iron roof, tiled floors and full ancillary facilities. Unable to hide her emotions, Ms. Hoa shared: "I never expected that one day I would be able to live in a new house like this. The soldiers not only helped build the house but also regularly visited, encouraged and gave many necessary items. Their kindness makes me extremely grateful."

The Hung Yen Provincial Military Command coordinated with the provincial Red Cross to provide medical examinations, health consultations and gifts to policy families, Agent Orange victims and people in difficult circumstances.

Not only building great solidarity houses, agencies and units in the provincial armed forces also coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to deploy the model of "Army-civilian tree rows". Every day, walking on the inter-village road with rows of straight, green trees, Ms. Le Thi Huong, in Dong Lac village, Trung Dung commune (Tien Lu district) happily shared: "The road is mainly planted with woody trees by the soldiers, the rural landscape is greener - cleaner - more beautiful, with shade for people to rest; we feel very happy, the spiritual life and village sentiment are more connected. Therefore, we take turns taking care of and protecting the trees".

It is known that in 2024, the Provincial Military Command directed the Military Commands of districts, towns and cities; at the same time, coordinated with Viettel Group and enterprises to support the construction of 11 solidarity houses and 3 gratitude houses with a total amount of nearly 2 billion VND and more than 1,200 working days.

One of the effective civil affairs models that the Provincial Military Command has deployed and replicated is the model of “Army-civilian tree line”, “model military-civilian route”; building “great solidarity house”; “Godmother”….
