On the evening of March 18, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, Naval Region 5 held a conference to inform about the situation of the sea and islands for new soldiers (CSM) who will enlist in 2025 at Battalion 563 (Naval Region 5). At the conference, the new soldiers were informed by the reporter of Naval Region 5 about the basic contents of the position, role and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; the current situation in our country's seas; the role of the Vietnam People's Navy in managing and protecting the sovereignty of seas and islands and the responsibility of Navy officers and soldiers in performing assigned tasks.

On this occasion, the new soldiers also learned about the journey of building, fighting, winning, growing and developing of the Vietnam People's Navy; the typical feats and achievements of the Navy and Region 5 in managing and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
This is a meaningful activity, aiming to raise awareness, responsibility, foster revolutionary ideals, love for the sea and islands for the young generation. Thereby, arousing national pride, strengthening confidence, encouraging and motivating new soldiers to work with peace of mind, actively strive, study, train, and complete assigned tasks well, contributing to building a strong, comprehensive, exemplary, and typical unit, firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
