According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment , during the week, an outbreak of African swine fever occurred in Tan Hung district. The outbreak occurred in Hung Dien commune (herd of 16 pigs, total weight 556 kg). The specialized sector has coordinated with the locality to handle the situation, avoiding widespread spread.

It is known that from the beginning of 2025 until now, in the province, there have been 12 outbreaks of African swine fever in 12 households, in 11 communes, in 7 districts: Tan Hung, Thanh Hoa, Ben Luc, Tan Tru, Vinh Hung, Chau Thanh, Moc Hoa, with a total of 404 pigs, with a total destroyed weight of 16,416 kg.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinates with localities to implement disease prevention and control work, not allowing the disease to spread widely.

The industry recommends that to prevent African swine fever, it is necessary to strengthen the application of biosecurity measures and disease prevention hygiene. People need to treat the environment in livestock farming, disinfect and clean barns. When detecting abnormal signs in pigs or sudden deaths, immediately notify local authorities and competent agencies to take measures./.
