The Ministry of Public Security informed that as of the evening of June 13, the forces had arrested a total of 45 subjects involved in the attack at the headquarters of the two communes of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur in the early morning of June 11.
Up to now, the investigation of the crime scene at the two places where the incident occurred has basically been completed. Immediately after arresting the subjects, Dak Lak Provincial Police coordinated with functional units to fight and take statements to clarify the nature of this serious incident.
Initial investigation determined that the group of criminals mostly resided in other districts in Dak Lak province, gathered and came to Cu Kuin district to commit the crime; many of them resided in Krong Buk district.
The above mentioned group of subjects assigned tasks, made plans and gave guns and weapons of all kinds to each person. Some of them were lured, enticed, and promised money and material things later to participate in committing crimes.
This group of people is aggressive, reckless, and reckless, equipped with guns, knives, hammers, grenades, petrol bombs, etc.
They traveled by motorbike to the headquarters of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, suddenly attacked with guns, petrol bombs... and then destroyed everything. The reception office of the Ea Tieu commune headquarters was severely damaged. All machinery, documents and papers were burned.
At two locations, the subjects opened fire, killing and injuring several commune police officers. They then spread out onto the streets, killing two commune officers and three civilians.
The group confessed that they were ordered to shoot and kill anyone they encountered. When arrested, they confessed and expressed remorse for their actions.
