(NLDO) – Despite the VN-Index falling and foreign investors net selling, liquidity is still increasing, showing that money is flowing into the market more strongly.
The stock market on December 3 witnessed strong fluctuations right from the beginning of the session when selling pressure increased, causing the VN-Index to fall deeply below the 1,250-point mark. The market fell to around 1,244 points at one point, but bottom-fishing demand quickly appeared, mainly concentrated in technology and insurance stocks.
At the end of the session, VN-Index decreased 1.38 points, closing at 1,249.83 points; HNX Index decreased -0.04 points, closing at 225.29 points.
The market has a clear differentiation between industry groups with a series of stocks contributing to the outstanding increase such as FPT, BVH, HDB, LPB, VTP; while the stocks that dragged the market down were VCB, BID, GVR...
Despite foreign investors returning to net selling for two consecutive sessions, market liquidity remained positive as the total matched transaction value of the VN-Index reached more than VND11,400 billion, up 20.47% compared to the previous session.
The stock market continues to fluctuate within the accumulation range, waiting for stronger participation from investors' cash flow.
Mr. Vo Kim Phung, Head of Analysis Department of BETA Securities Company, said that despite the selling pressure, the matched liquidity increased sharply compared to the previous session, showing that the cash flow is still actively participating. Commenting on tomorrow's session (December 4), VN-Index continues to maintain a positive trend in the short term. The 1,200 - 1,210 point area is an important support area for the market. Investors should closely observe this area to come up with a reasonable strategy.
"The struggle to find a balance point is a sign that investor sentiment is not really stable. Investors need to be more cautious in new disbursements, wait for adjustments and prioritize risk management," Mr. Phung recommended.
Meanwhile, experts from Vietnam Construction Securities Company (CSI) believe that the market needs an explosive session with liquidity support to confirm that it has bottomed out. This is also a signal for investors to wait before "putting money" into buying stocks more strongly.
SHS Securities Company stated that the current developments show that the VN-Index is improving with many stocks and groups of stocks at relatively attractive prices, opening up many good opportunities. Investors should maintain a reasonable proportion, consider selectively disbursing stocks with good fundamentals, expecting continued growth. Investment targets are aimed at leading stocks with good fundamentals.
