With more than 3 months left until Lunar New Year, these days, in Duong Son flower village, people are busy fertilizing, spraying chemicals, and planting stakes so that flower pots can grow and be sold in time for Tet.
To ensure the flowers bloom in time for the Lunar New Year 2025, flower growers in Duong Son flower village have started turning on the lights all night to ensure the growth of the flowers.
The installed light bulb system has a capacity of 15-20W and is mounted at a density of 1.5-2m apart.
The lights here will be turned on automatically from 8pm the night before to 3am the next day and then turned off automatically.
Currently, in Duong Son village, there is Duong Son Flower Cooperative with 24 members (of which 8 households have applied high technology in flower production).
This is a specialized flower production area applying high technology with main flowers such as: chrysanthemum, sunflower, mokara orchid, hanging primrose, rose, bougainvillea, water lily... mainly supplying to the inner city market of Da Nang.
This year, the number of flowers grown by households to serve the 2025 Lunar New Year is about 16,000 flowers of all kinds. Of which, there are 9,500 chrysanthemums, 5,300 raspberry chrysanthemums and 1,000 flowers of all kinds.
