TPO - Duong Son flower village (Hoa Chau commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) is keeping its lights on all night these days to help the flowers grow in time for the 2025 Lunar New Year.

Duong Son flower village has an area of ​​about 4 hectares, with about 30 households growing all kinds of flowers such as chrysanthemums, orchids, roses, marigolds, primroses... This place is known as the Tet flower capital of the city.

There are still more than 3 months until Lunar New Year 2025, but many farmers in Duong Son flower village are busy fertilizing, planting seeds, and keeping lights on all night to start the Tet flower season.

According to Tien Phong, flower farmers these days are busy keeping lights on all night to ensure the growth of the plants.

Ms. Ly Dang - the owner of the flower garden said that this year her garden grows many types of flowers to serve the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025. "In order for the flowers to bloom on time and grow well, we have to fertilize and water them regularly every day. My garden grows many types of flowers so I have to hire workers to make it in time for this year's flower season", Ms. Dang shared.

Many people start pinching off the tops to help the plant grow according to its growth cycle.

Flower farmers these days are taking advantage of the sunny weather to fertilize and spray pesticides on their plants.

At night, thousands of small 15-20W fluorescent bulbs are lit, making the whole Duong Son flower village sparkle and stand out at night.

This year, the number of flowers grown by households to serve the 2025 Lunar New Year is about 16,000 flowers of all kinds. Of which, there are 9,500 chrysanthemums, 5,300 raspberry chrysanthemums and 1,000 flowers of all kinds.

According to the people of the flower village, the lights will be turned on automatically from 8pm the night before until 3am the next morning and will automatically turn off. Turning on the lights will help the flowers get more light, grow taller and bloom as planned to serve Tet.
