(CLO) Joining the atmosphere of the whole Party and people welcoming the New Year of At Ty 2025, on January 17, 2025, teachers and students of Lomonosov Secondary and High School (Hanoi) organized a Folk Culture Festival imbued with national identity with many interesting and attractive folk activities.


The festival took place in a jubilant atmosphere, full of joy and excitement, bringing profound experiences to the students. This is an important event and also a key educational activity plan of the school to educate, nurture and spread the traditional culture of the nation to each student.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Tung - Principal of Lomonosov MV Secondary and High School said: "The more the country integrates and the nation grows stronger, the more solid the cultural foundation must be. We must put culture in the spiritual foundation of the nation. Origin and culture are the driving force and endogenous strength in every stage of the country's development. Educating students about patriotism through the Folk Culture Festival helps students understand more about the ancient cultural features of our ancestors, which is very proud."

According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Tung, this is also an educational activity organized in a creative and innovative way in teaching, meeting the 2018 general education program; thereby enhancing soft skills for students such as: planning, group activities, product reporting, event organization and community engagement...

"This year's Folk Culture Festival took place with useful activities to create many opportunities for students to participate in experiences. The six-eight poetry writing contest - "Folk Melody" started before the festival days was participated by a large number of students in the whole school. There were many six-eight poems composed by students with high artistic quality. The traditional cultural experience area with calligraphy by scholars, traditional games such as: making to he figurines, jumping on bamboo poles, playing volleyball, throwing con, etc. took place vibrantly throughout the festival" - Principal Nguyen Quang Tung emphasized.

In particular, the highlight of the Festival is the special art program, the elaborately staged performances have highlighted the beauty of traditional Vietnamese art. The folk art performances competing in different grades have brought an extremely exciting atmosphere to the festival. The folk culture of the regions combined with dance and singing has told the story of the nation's origin, the beauty of the soul, and the affectionate lifestyle of the Vietnamese people.

Winning first prize in the six-eight poetry writing contest, student Nguyen Quynh Anh of class 10P emotionally shared: "Participating in writing six-eight poetry about the topic of Tet and spring, I immediately thought of the story my mother told about Tet, so the image of my hometown and family kept coming back. Writing six-eight poetry in the Folklore Festival gave me the opportunity to express my love for Literature and my love for traditional culture. I was really touched and very happy to know that my poem won first prize."

The Folk Culture Festival of Lomonosov Secondary and High School left many beautiful emotions, joys, and practical experiences for students. Through the festival, students realized the strong vitality of national culture, through which they were educated to preserve traditional cultural values, to know how to continue and exploit to promote the power of traditional culture.
