For the first time, Vietnam has 2 competing teams.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) has been held for 16 years with 12 editions. DIFF 2025 will take place from May 31 to July 12. The new feature this year is that there will be 2 teams representing the host Vietnam competing with 8 international teams.

10 teams will compete over 6 nights (all on Saturdays):

Night 1 (May 31) has the theme of Legacy of culture between the host team Da Nang and Finland.

Night 2 (June 7): The art of creativity – team Z21 (Vietnam) and Poland.

Night 3 (June 14): The path of unity – Canada and China teams.

Night 4 (June 21): Sustainable development – Portugal and England teams.

Night 5 (June 28): Powered by innovation – Korean and Italian teams.

Night 6 (July 12): Welcoming the new era (The new rising era) final competition, including 2 excellent teams selected through the previous 5 competition nights.

DIFF 2025 is also different with an attractive art program, each night there will be a companion activity following the main show theme. Throughout the festival, AR technology is also applied, enhancing the fireworks experience, integrating a series of activities into the app.

Along with the main event of DIFF 2025, Da Nang City also has a series of events to promote tourism towards a new era such as food and beverage festivals, food tours, parades, military parades, exhibitions, boat races, concerts, international marathons, Asian golf tournaments, Vietnam - ASEAN festivals, international hot air balloon and lion dance performances, Quang Nam tourism gifts, Asian film festivals, Vietnam - Japan festivals, etc.

According to the leaders of Da Nang City, the idea of DIFF 2025 "Da Nang - New Era" conveys a message of transition, marking the 50-year journey of integration and development...; at the same time, it demonstrates the aspiration and determination of Da Nang to enter a new phase - a period of prosperity and development, entering a new era - the era of national growth.

Sun Group, the unit that organizes DIFF together with Da Nang City, believes that the most successful cultural industrial product of Da Nang to date is DIFF - becoming Da Nang's own brand, becoming a "magnet" to attract visitors and a driving force to promote tourism and economic development.

In 2008, when the first fireworks festival was held, it attracted 30,000 attendees; by 2018, the number of tickets sold reached 82,000 and the total number of tourists coming to the city during this occasion is estimated at more than 1.5 million visitors. Entering 2024, the number of visitors served by tourist accommodation establishments over the 1 month of the DIFF 2024 event reached more than 1.5 million, an increase of 60% compared to DIFF 2023. Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel services in June 2024 is estimated at 16,344 billion VND, an increase of 28.2% compared to the same period in 2023.
