Da Nang establishes Free Trade Zone policy development team

The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Decision No. 728/QD-UBND on the establishment of a Policy Development Team for the Da Nang Free Trade Zone, in order to proactively research and propose outstanding policies to ensure competitiveness for this area. This is an important step in promoting economic and trade development and attracting investment to Da Nang, especially in the context of international economic integration.

The policy development team was established with the task of proactively researching and proposing policies within the scope of responsibility of its members. At the same time, the team will also coordinate with the consulting unit to unify policy proposals to create outstanding and highly competitive policies for the Da Nang Free Trade Zone.

The team will participate in reviewing and finalizing proposed policies to be included in legal documents and submitted to the City People's Committee. In addition, members of the team will also participate in working sessions with relevant ministries and branches to receive and finalize policies in the areas of responsibility of relevant agencies and units.

The head of the Policy Development Team is Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade. The deputy heads include Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, Mr. Le Thanh Tung; Deputy Head of the Management Board of High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks, Mr. Tran Van Ty; and Deputy Head of the Customs Branch of Region XII, Mr. Pham Duy Nhat. The team also has the participation of representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and other relevant agencies such as the City Police, Military Command, State Bank of Region 9 and staff experts.

The policy development team will work part-time and enjoy benefits according to current regulations. The team leader is entitled to use the seal of the Department of Industry and Trade, while the deputy team leaders can use the seal of their agencies and units when carrying out the team's tasks.

The Team Leader is responsible for presiding over and coordinating with members and relevant agencies and units to propose policies for the Da Nang Free Trade Zone. At the same time, the Team Leader will also direct the Department of Industry and Trade's support department to synthesize opinions and report to the City People's Committee on the progress of the Team's tasks.

The Deputy Heads will organize the implementation of tasks assigned by the Head of the Group, and at the same time coordinate to review the overall policy contents. The members of the Group are also responsible for fully participating in meetings, proactively researching and advising on contents related to the professional field, thereby proposing feasible solutions.

Agencies and units participating in the Policy Development Team are responsible for updating information when there is a change in the members of the Team. At the same time, if necessary, these units will also provide support staff to support the representatives participating in the Team.

Members of the Policy Development Team will be responsible for reporting and agreeing within the agency on the proposed content and providing comments related to their areas of expertise. In particular, directors of departments, branches and sectors must be responsible for the content of their sectors during the policy development process.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and the Policy Development Team will dissolve itself after completing its tasks.
