At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that on the occasion of his official visit to China and attending the 2023 WEF Pioneers Conference in Tianjin, the Prime Minister met with Chinese friends who helped Vietnam in the two resistance wars as well as in national construction; expressed his emotion at the increasingly good development of the relationship between the two countries; and stated that the goal of this visit is to concretize the official visit to China by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the end of 2022. The Prime Minister said that as of yesterday, the Prime Minister had met with the highest leaders of China; visited and worked in Tianjin.
Mr. Vien Man Dao expressed his pleasure to attend this friendly meeting; thanked Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for taking the time to receive him; wished the Prime Minister's official visit to China a great success; China and Vietnam are both socialist countries, led by the Communist Party, mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers, both comrades and brothers; helping each other in times of difficulty; the friendship between the two countries, nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong, is forever a priceless asset of the two countries and peoples. Under the leadership of the two Communist Parties, both countries take the people as the center, both aim for the 100-year goal of prosperous development; happy that after the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vietnam has always achieved many achievements in national construction and development. China is currently fully implementing the Resolution of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, developing to a new height, hoping that this will contribute to deepening the relationship between the two countries.
He also said that the friendship between the two countries is a good foundation for the development of Vietnam-China relations; at the same time, he said that up to now, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the China-Vietnam Friendship Association have always maintained good relations with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, organized many exchange activities, cultural festivals, and exchanges such as "Following Uncle Ho's Footsteps"... contributing to promoting the exchange between the people of the two countries.

At the meeting, some Chinese friendship figures were moved to recall unforgettable memories of President Ho Chi Minh, the country and people of Vietnam. Mrs. Tran Tri Tien, daughter of General Tran Canh, stated that the friendship between the two countries has a long tradition, and was moved to recount General Tran Canh's memories of Vietnam and Uncle Ho. Her father was sent by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to help Vietnam and Uncle Ho was the most respected person; recalling the days when she met Uncle Ho were the most beautiful days of her father's life. Since childhood, she has always remembered the phrase "Long live Uncle Ho"; hoping that the warm friendship fostered by the two countries' senior leaders will last forever.
Mr. Wei Xiaoyi, son of General Wei Guoqing, Head of the Chinese military advisory group in Vietnam to help Vietnam in the resistance war against France. He recalled that at that time, his father overcame all difficulties, used accumulated experience to help Vietnam, bravely fought against strong enemies, and went through major campaigns with the Vietnamese army, including the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.... He affirmed that we need to remember the great contributions of our predecessors in building and nurturing the friendship between the two countries; wishing for the friendship between Vietnam and China to last forever.
Ms. Du Thu Hue, former nurse at Nam Khe Son Hospital (Guilin) expressed her emotion when meeting Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the members of the delegation; she was moved when recalling the old memories when she worked at the hospital in Guilin treating thousands of wounded Vietnamese soldiers transferred from the battlefield.
Currently, China and Vietnam are in a pivotal period, opening up the future. The friendship between the two countries was created by previous leaders. Thanking the sentiments, touching stories, and touching evidence, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh reiterated the proverb about friendship: A hundred favors, a hundred meanings, a thousand feelings/The spirit of friendship is glorious forever; clearly stating that the friendship between the two countries was nurtured with the sentiments, sweat, and even blood of comrades when Vietnam was still facing difficulties.
After 20 years of searching for a way to save the country, President Ho Chi Minh returned to China and founded the Indochinese Communist Party, the predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam, in 1930; Vietnam's revolutionary organizations at that time were also established in China; Uncle Ho returned to Vietnam after searching for a way to save the country, also from China.
The great friendship between our two countries originated from the affection between President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong. The Whampoa Military Academy and other schools in China still preserve documents on the training of cadres for Vietnam. The Yucai School, which trained the children of Vietnamese comrades studying in China, is also in Guangxi, China.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Fangcheng Port was the first port built to transport aid goods to Vietnam; the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers wearing rubber sandals, flasks, and pith helmets… were all from China. The hospital that treated wounded soldiers when Vietnam was in difficulty was also in China. During the years of resistance, when mentioning the names of advisor Vi Quoc Thanh and General Tran Canh, many Vietnamese people knew them, they devoted and devoted all their love to Vietnam…
In addition to the natural and objective factors that the two countries are neighbors, the affection is forged from the people of the two countries. The Prime Minister said that Comrade Vien Man Dao and Comrade Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, need to have a plan to record data and documents of living witnesses to preserve; hoping that you, my brothers and sisters, will continue to inspire future generations, to foster the Vietnam-China friendship "mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers".
