On January 7, the People's Committee of Da Nang City announced that it will organize 3 locations for fireworks displays for the Lunar New Year. Previously, Da Nang did not organize fireworks displays during the last New Year's Eve. Accordingly, Da Nang City will launch fireworks for 15 minutes on January 29 (New Year's Eve) at 3 locations. Specifically, location 1 on Bach Dang Street (intersection between Bach Dang Street - Binh Minh 6 Street), location 2 in the area in front of Lien Chieu District Administrative Center (land opposite to the east of the District Administrative Center). Location 3 at the resettlement area of ​​the Western Belt Road (Duong Lam 1 Village, Hoa Phong Commune, Hoa Vang District). This year, Da Nang is expected to launch 1,950 high-altitude fireworks and 90 low-altitude fireworks. The locations will use the method of artistic fireworks display (no background music), using the FireOne fireworks display system and the L100S semi-automatic fireworks display system. In addition, every year on Tet holiday, to serve the people and tourists, Da Nang not only has mascots on the flower street but the Dragon Bridge will also breathe fire and water throughout the Tet nights to serve visitors.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2024 is a competition between 8 teams from the United States, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, China and Vietnam. DIFF 2024 is the 12th time the competition has been held in Da Nang. The competition has "burned" Da Nang for nearly 2 summer months (June-July), helping to attract tourists to Da Nang.
