On March 25, after the People's Court of Huong Thuy Town (Hue City) issued a verdict forcing Hue Lottery Company Limited (Hue Lottery Company) to pay a prize of 2 billion VND for the lottery ticket that won the special prize and had a torn corner, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet (owner of the lottery ticket) shared with Tuoi Tre Online after the incident.

After the court's verdict, the parties involved came to shake hands happily. The representative of Hue Lottery Company, Mr. Le Trung Phuoc - the company's director - came to congratulate Ms. Nguyet on winning the lawsuit.

After the verdict, Ms. Nguyet expressed her joy to everyone. The woman who grows vegetables in the countryside of Quang Nam said that the court's verdict was very reasonable.

Hue Lottery Company must pay 2 billion VND for a torn lottery ticket that won the special prize.

According to Ms. Nguyet, the incident has affected her family to some extent in the past time, and she herself also hopes that the incident will end soon.

Before the trial, she was very nervous and worried. After the jury announced the verdict, she broke down.

Ms. Nguyet would like to thank everyone who accompanied her in this lawsuit, especially the lawyers who defended her rights for free in court.

Talking about the future, Ms. Nguyet said that after receiving 2 billion VND from Hue Lottery Company (before tax - PV), she will take out a portion to give to the disadvantaged and lonely people living around her family in Quang Nam.

Ms. Nguyet shared that after the incident, she will continue to buy traditional lottery tickets because "what if the opportunity continues to come to me?". Regarding Hue lottery tickets and Hue Lottery Company, Ms. Nguyet said she will buy and support lottery tickets issued by Hue Lottery Company.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online after the trial, Mr. Le Trung Phuoc - director of Hue Lottery Company said: "Congratulations to Ms. Nguyet for winning the lawsuit."

Mr. Phuoc said that Hue Lottery Company is issuing lottery tickets in 14 provinces and cities across the country and really wants lucky customers to win.

Participating in this lawsuit, Mr. Phuoc said that the company showed goodwill by not inviting a lawyer to defend its rights in court, and also not appealing regardless of the outcome.

"After the court's verdict comes into effect, the company will immediately pay the bonus to Ms. Nguyet. Once again, we congratulate Ms. Nguyet on winning the lawsuit and receiving the bonus according to regulations," said Mr. Phuoc.
