On May 14, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Phu Thu Intersection and Connecting Road Project in Tien Hiep Commune (Phu Ly City). National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended and gave the groundbreaking order.

The investment project to build Phu Thu intersection connecting with Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway and the connecting road in Tien Hiep commune, Phu Ly city, has a scale of construction of the intersection in the immediate future including 2 floors: The floor builds a tunnel on Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway with 6 lanes according to expressway standards, designed speed of 120 km/h; the 2nd floor builds 4 branches in and out of the expressway connecting with the side road of Ring Road 5 - Capital Region and local roads. The total investment of the project is nearly 1,400 billion VND from the local budget. The project implementation period is from 2022 to 2025. In particular, the 3rd floor - the overpass of Ring Road 5 - Capital Region over Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway will have land reserved according to the planning plan for investment and construction in the next phase.
Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex) and Trung Chinh Construction and Trading Company Limited won the construction bid.
At the ceremony, Chairman of Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee Truong Quoc Huy said that the construction of Phu Thu intersection connecting with Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway (in the planning of Ring Road 5) at the northern gateway of Phu Ly city is of special importance, gradually forming a parallel route to Ring Road 5 to promote local socio-economic development, contributing to the completion of the inter-regional transport system, promoting cooperation and economic development between Ha Nam province and other provinces in the region.
As a contractor that has been participating in the construction of a series of key traffic projects nationwide such as: Thang Long Avenue, Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway, Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway, Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway, Terminal T2 - Noi Bai International Airport, North - South Expressway, Vinh Tuy Bridge Phase 2..., Mr. Dao Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vinaconex, on behalf of the contractor consortium, committed to promoting the application of technology, scientific management and operation, and resolutely directing the construction of the project on schedule and with quality to quickly put the project into operation and exploitation.
