Specifically, Mr. Pham The Trong Toan (48 years old) - Director of Vinacomin Waterway Transport Joint Stock Company (WTC) - submitted his resignation to the board of directors in early March this year. In the application, Mr. Toan said he had been appointed as director from October 21, 2022.
"During my work, I always try to complete the assigned tasks well. Now, due to my health, I often suffer from high blood pressure, and I am worried that it will affect my work in the future," Mr. Toan stated the reason for his resignation and wanted to be considered for dismissal as soon as possible.
Mr. Toan's resignation was approved shortly thereafter. At the same time, the WTC Board of Directors decided to appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong - Deputy Director of Quang Minh Transport Services Joint Stock Company - as Director for a term of 5 years. Mr. Cong is also the legal representative of this enterprise.
On the website, WTC introduces itself as a company established by the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group in 2007.
The founding shareholders are Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group and some subsidiaries of the group. WTC has a charter capital of 100 billion VND.
In terms of business performance, WTC's net revenue in 2023 reached VND1,091 billion, down more than 66% compared to the previous year. The cost of goods sold was high, accounting for nearly 98%, and the company's gross profit margin was low. After deducting all expenses and taxes, WTC's net profit reached more than VND16.1 billion, down 61%.

In 2020, revenue continued to increase to a record high of nearly 7,000 billion VND, then gradually decreased over the years, to more than 1,000 billion VND last year.
