When the Hanoi Police team was promoted to the V-League 2023, this team immediately brought in top players and set ambitions right in the first season of returning to the highest level of Vietnamese football. Most of the pillars, names that seemed difficult to leave their old teams such as Doan Van Hau, Ho Tan Tai or especially Phan Van Duc joined the police team.
So who is behind the blockbuster transfers of Hanoi Police during the last two transfer periods: none other than Mr. Tran Tien Dai.

Mr. Tran Tien Dai is known as the most successful broker in Vietnamese football. He is the person behind a series of billion-dollar transfers of clubs in the V-League. Mr. Dai himself increased the transfer value of players by 2-3 times. In the past, he helped dozens of national players such as Vu Nhu Thanh, Le Phuoc Tu, Nguyen Viet Thang... receive billion-dollar salaries and bonuses from their home clubs.
Hanoi Police Team with many prominent names
Before becoming the technical director of the Hanoi Police team, Mr. Tran Tien Dai was the person behind the transfer of Martin Lo to Pho Hien Club, and helped him get a 5-year contract with a salary of 80 million VND/month. Later, the deal of Martin Lo joining Hai Phong was also brokered by Mr. Dai.
When he joined the police team, Mr. Dai immediately bought players based on the club's championship ambitions. Last season, Coach Tran Tien Dai received more attention from fans after he appeared on the bench to replace former captain Flavio Cruz in the final round. In previous matches in V-League 2023, Mr. Dai also directly participated in technical management with Coach Flavio Cruz.
Until this season, before the Hanoi Police appointed coach Gong Oh-kyun, Mr. Dai was still in charge of the police team in the last 2 rounds of V.League. After the victory over HAGL, Mr. Tran Tien Dai appeared in the press conference room for the first time, even though he had led the Hanoi Police team in 4 matches, including last season.

In fact, Mr. Dai was right when he said that the team was not a good team, and was somewhat lucky to win the V-League last season. Despite having bought a series of stars, the performance of the police team did not leave much of an impression in terms of operation or playing style. Hanoi police were lucky because they only beat the second-placed team, Hanoi FC, on additional indexes to win the championship. This partly made the championship of the police team not really convincing.
This season, when the Hanoi Police team has stabilized in terms of management and personnel, plus the appearance of coach Gong Oh-kyun on the coaching bench, fans have the right to hope for a stronger team and demonstrate a higher level compared to the rest of the V-League.
