Opening of the 2024 Exhibition of Embroidery, Silk, Ao Dai, and Fabric Bags

This is the fourth event in a series of exhibitions of handicrafts, OCOP products and typical rural industrial products at the "Capital OCOP Product Display, Introduction and Promotion Point" in 2024, organized by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade.

With a scale of nearly 500 m2 , the Exhibition displays and introduces over 400 samples of handicraft products, creative and unique craft villages. The exhibition space will be designed and decorated in an open space, to increase the aesthetics and a comfortable, friendly feeling for visitors and traders. The event is an opportunity for the public, those who love and are interested in the handicraft industry in general and the embroidery, silk, ao dai, and fabric bag industry in particular, to admire typical, unique works of high aesthetic value created by the talented hands of artisans and skilled workers.

Coming to the exhibition, artisans and individuals will have the opportunity to study, learn and exchange experiences while connecting with the typical handicraft community, and at the same time put these designs into actual production, meeting market requirements, especially the export market.

Not only that, here, visitors will experience the production process of traditional and modern handmade embroidery, silk, ao dai, and fabric bags; the history of embroidery, silk, ao dai, and fabric bags; participate in promotional activities to connect trade of embroidery, silk, ao dai, fabric bags and other typical products.

Speaking at the opening of the event, Mr. Hoang Quan - Deputy Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting (Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade) - said that the Special Exhibition of handicraft products, OCOP, typical rural industries in the embroidery, silk, ao dai, and cloth bags industry in 2024 is a place to encourage and guide authors to design products that are both practical and have high aesthetic value, actively supporting enterprises and rural industrial production establishments in Hanoi's handicraft industry to develop and diversify product designs, meeting market demands.

At the same time, it contributes to strengthening the connection between designers, craftsmen, manufacturers, distributors and consumers, and is also a place to introduce and promote unique and typical products with strengths of traditional craft villages of districts and towns in the city to the public.

In addition, it contributes to promoting the potential strengths of the Capital in the fields of creative design; raising awareness of rural industrial establishments in the City about the design and cultural industry, contributing to the socio-economic development of the city; connecting and expanding business cooperation between organizations, experts, domestic and international enterprises in the fields of design and creative industry.

The exhibition will take place in September-October 2024 at the Capital OCOP Product Exhibition, Introduction and Promotion Point, No. 176 Quang Trung, Ha Dong District, Hanoi.
