Similarly, Brent oil price was at 74.25 USD/barrel, down 2.68% (equivalent to a decrease of 2.05 USD/barrel).

World oil prices plunged sharply in the last trading session of the week. According to analysts, oil prices suddenly reversed and fell sharply by more than 2 USD as investors faced the gradual reduction of risk premiums in the Middle East region, along with uncertainties about the possibility of reaching a peace agreement in Ukraine.
Supply disruptions have helped limit the decline in prices. Russia said that oil flows through the Caspian Pipeline Alliance (CPC) - a key route for exporting crude from Kazakhstan to global markets - have dropped by 30% to 40% since February 18, after a pumping station in Russia was attacked by drones.
With crude oil prices remaining below $80 a barrel, analysts expect OPEC+ to once again delay its decision to cut production.
Next week, JPMorgan analysts expect cold weather in the US and increased industrial activity after the Chinese holiday to boost demand further, which could impact global crude oil prices.
Domestic retail gasoline prices on February 23, 2025 will be applied according to the adjustment session from 3:00 p.m. on February 20 by the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND257/liter, to VND20,855/liter; RON 95 gasoline increased by VND257/liter, to VND21,331/liter.
However, there are some types of oil prices that have decreased during this period. Specifically, the price of diesel 0.05S: decreased by 10 VND/liter, down to 19,063 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 40 VND/liter, to 19,513 VND/liter; mazut 180CST 3.5S decreased by 183 VND/kg, down to 17,596 VND/kg.

In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and mazut oil.
Thus, from the beginning of 2025 to now, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 8 adjustment sessions, including 2 decrease sessions, 4 increase sessions and 2 opposite sessions.
