Opening of the 2023 Central Agencies Open Football Tournament

The Central Agencies Football Tournament is held annually with the desire to create a healthy and useful playground, promote the sports movement, improve health for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of agencies and units to participate, and carry out the campaign for the whole people to exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho. Through the tournament, it aims to strengthen solidarity and cohesion between agencies and units.

In her opening speech, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representative Newspaper Pham Thi Thanh Huyen - Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament said that after 23 times of organization, the tournament has increasingly expanded in scale, constantly improved in quality and professionalism, and the prize level has also been raised.

The Organizing Committee hopes that the teams and players uphold the noble sportsmanship spirit, compete with all their might, and contribute to the audience good matches and beautiful goals; that the referees work responsibly, impartially, and objectively; that the fans cheer enthusiastically and energetically, support the players, and contribute to the overall success of the tournament.

The 16 teams participating in this year's tournament are divided into four groups. Group A includes teams from the Government Office, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment; Group B includes teams from the Ministry of Education and Training, the National Assembly Office, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Group C includes the teams of the Office of the President, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Central Party Office, Vietnam Airlines and Group D includes the teams of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security, and Vietnam Television (VTV).

Candidates for this year's championship are familiar names such as Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam Television, Office of the National Assembly... However, teams participating in the tournament for the first time such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises will be unknown.

The 24th Central Agencies Football Tournament for the People's Representative Newspaper Cup - 2023 will take place until November 25, 2023.
