Draw for the 2023 Central Agencies Football Tournament

The 2023 Central Agencies Open Football Tournament is held to celebrate the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly, towards the 78th anniversary of the first General Election of the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2024).

The tournament is organized annually by the People's Representative Newspaper with the participation of football teams from four central offices: the Central Party Office, the President's Office, the National Assembly Office, the Government Office; along with a number of ministries, branches, corporations and large enterprises.

The 24th Central Agencies Football Tournament for the People's Representative Newspaper Cup - 2023 attracted the participation of 16 teams. In addition to 4 teams from 4 Central Offices, this year for the first time, the tournament had the participation of teams from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Capital Management Committee, along with the return of the Vietnam Television (VTV) team.

The tournament continues to have the participation of teams from: Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Office of the Ministry of Public Security, Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group, Vietnam Airlines Corporation.

16 teams are divided into 4 groups, playing a round robin to score points, selecting the 1st and 2nd teams to enter the quarter-finals. From the quarter-finals, the teams are divided into pairs to compete in a knockout round. The winning teams in the semi-finals will compete in the final to compete for the first, second, third and fourth prizes.

The total prize value this year is nearly 200 million VND, of which the champion team will receive a cup, medals and a prize of 30 million VND; the second place team will receive 20 million VND; the third place team will receive 15 million VND; and the fourth place team will receive 10 million VND.

The 12 eliminated teams will continue to compete on November 25 to find the 3 teams that will receive the Bright Gem Award to create motivation and increase competition in the final round of matches. The opening ceremony will be held on the morning of November 5; the final match and award ceremony will take place on November 25.
