Le Quan was born in 1991 in Duy Xuyen, Quang Nam. He went to Ho Chi Minh City to study college in 2008, but it wasn't until 2016 that he had the chance to play amateur football after many years of playing in the amateur fields of Saigon. At that time, Quan was working at a jewelry design company and bravely organized an amateur football tournament for the Duy Xuyen association in Ho Chi Minh City.
Despite not having much experience and lacking in funds, the tournament at Celadon City - Tan Phu Stadium that year went smoothly, the audience filled the stands, the matches were exciting and dramatic. The name Le Quan began to create a certain resonance in the amateur football community. This initial success was the motivation and premise for today's commentator Le Quan.
Commentator Le Quan left his mark in the Southern amateur football village.
“ At first, I only intended to do it for fun, because I didn’t think I would really pursue a career as a commentator. When I first started, I was still working for a company, so I only commented on the weekends. From just doing it for fun, it turned from fun to liking, and from liking to passionate love. This job requires real passion, and the more I do it, the more I love it, ” Le Quan confided.
Originally an “amateur” with no formal training in journalism or languages, Le Quan shared that he encountered many difficulties in the early days of his career as a commentator.
The difficulty in organizing and commentating on amateur tournaments is that the information the players have to collect themselves is not available online like professional football tournaments. Therefore, the person doing this job must be diligent, have good synthesis and analysis thinking.
Born and raised in the countryside of Quang Nam, Quan's voice in the early days of his career still had a strong local accent and was difficult for the audience to understand. Therefore, Le Quan had to go through a daily training process, practicing standard pronunciation in the common accent as well as learning from professional commentators and seniors to have the commentary voice he has now.
This job also requires good health when having to talk continuously and work at high frequency. Le Quan shared that there were times when he had to travel continuously to provinces and cities across the country to do the tournament. " There were peak days when I had to fly 2-3 times a day, in the morning in Hanoi, in the afternoon back to Ca Mau, at night I packed my luggage to go to Dak Lak to do the children's tournament in time ", this commentator revealed.
Commentator Le Quan participates in a charity fundraising event for Artist Mac Can.
After many years of working, Le Quan currently owns many fanpages with a huge number of likes, followers and interactions on social networks as well as being an inspirational figure for young people because of his eagerness to learn, his will to constantly strive to pursue his passion, his awareness of the times, his determination, and his daring to think and act in work and life.
Not only does Quan have a large fan base, he is also loved by his colleagues, friends, and people around him for his sociable, friendly, and compassionate personality. In addition to his time spent on work, Quan also regularly organizes charity activities to help those in difficult circumstances in life.
