If the semi-final match was a test of patience, the final match against Nam Can Tho University was where Tra Vinh's will and determination were pushed to the peak. Both teams gave a tense match, fighting for every ball. It seemed that the match would have to go into a penalty shootout, but in the last minute of extra time, Nguyen Van Giau became the hero with a golden goal, officially bringing Tra Vinh University to the national finals.

What impressed us was the sincerity and honesty from both teachers, students and even fans of Tra Vinh University.
Last season, Coach Tram Quoc Nam shared that the whole team often stayed up until 2-3am, not because of anxiety but because of the great excitement of setting foot on this top playground for the first time. “Everyone was looking forward to every hour and minute to be on the field, to prove themselves and bring pride to their beloved school,” he confided.

The fans of the Western team were equally impressed. In 2024, for the first time, the stands of Ton Duc Thang University featured a unique cheering sound system with pentatonic music and Chhay-dam drums, along with colorful Khmer costumes. Not too loud, not too loud, but sincere enough to make the players on the field feel the “fire” being fed from the stands.
