Chinese boxer Zhang Zhilei lost by knockout in round 6 to Agit Kabayel.

The highlight of the boxing world this weekend was the WBC heavyweight title fight between Zhang Zhilei and Agit Kabayel. In the sixth round, the Chinese boxer fell to one knee after being hit repeatedly in the stomach. The referee determined that Zhang Zhilei could not continue and awarded him a knockout.

Zhang Zhilei was born in 1983 and won an Olympic silver medal and an Asian Games gold medal. The 1m98 tall boxer has won 27 victories in his 30-match professional boxing career. This boxer holds the WBO (World Boxing Organization) heavyweight championship for 2 years (2023-2024).

However, at the age of 41, Zhang Zhilei was clearly defeated by the world's top boxer, Kabayel. Including the match with Zhang Zhilei, the German boxer has won a total of 26 consecutive matches and has never lost in a professional ring. According to BoxRec, Kabayel is ranked 3rd in the ranking of contemporary boxers.
