On September 16, the opening ceremony of the paragliding festival "Flying over the golden season" took place in Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai and the tourism program "Through the terraced fields heritage areas" in Hoang Su Phi, Ha Giang.
* The paragliding festival "Flying over the scenic area 2023" was opened in Lim Mong village, Cao Pha commune, Yen Bai. This event is part of a series of golden season tourism activities in 2023. The opening ceremony attracted thousands of domestic and foreign tourists to attend.
September is the time when Mu Cang Chai is at its most beautiful time of the year - the season of golden rice on the terraced fields. This is also a great time for pilots to conduct flights for adventurous tourists.
With the theme "Precision Landing", right after the Opening Ceremony, visitors will experience unprecedented performances by pilots such as parachuting from heights of 2,000m, 3,900m; acrobatic performances; aerial shaping by paragliding pilots...
This is also a competition and performance of nearly 100 pilots from domestic and international flying clubs. The event is an opportunity for each pilot to demonstrate his or her skills and techniques in paragliding flights and performances. At the end of the flight program, the Organizing Committee will award prizes to the pilots with the best achievements.
Khau Pha is one of the longest passes in the country, over 1,200m above sea level, the take-off point is about 600m above sea level.

Mr. Hoang Duc Tan, Vice Chairman of Hoang Su Phi District People's Committee, said that this is the opening event for a series of activities with many attractive tourism products, promising to bring good impressions to tourists when coming to the western land of Ha Giang in September.
The program "Through the terraced fields heritage" Hoang Su Phi 2023 is one of the typical cultural events, imbued with the identity of ethnic minorities in the Northwest region.
As a mountainous district in the West, Hoang Su Phi is home to many ethnic groups and has a strongly fragmented terrain. The weather and climate are harsh, the economy is mainly based on agriculture, which accounts for a high proportion of the economic structure, and the people's lives still face many difficulties...
