International guests impressed by a civilized, modern and affectionate Ho Chi Minh City

On the evening of September 24, within the framework of the Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Dialogue 2024 (FD 2024), the Gala Dinner program "Vietnam Night" took place with activities to experience Vietnamese traditional cuisine and art for domestic and foreign guests.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai expressed his joy at the good results achieved after 2 meaningful and effective working days, with diverse activities within the framework of FD 2024.

On behalf of the leaders and people of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Phan Van Mai expressed his sincere thanks to the leaders of the Government, the Central External Relations Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and nearly 40 international delegations who attended FD 2024. The presence of the guests is a testament to the spirit of solidarity and friendship between localities, a symbol of the commitment to work towards the goal of promoting cooperation for peace and prosperity in the region as well as around the world.

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee emphasized: "I hope that the friendly cooperation relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and the localities present at the event, together with all the localities in the city's network of friendly cooperation, will continue to develop strongly, sharing difficulties together, and enjoying the sweet fruits of cooperation together".

Through the program "Vietnam Night", guests not only enjoy the unique cultural and culinary beauty of Vietnam but also have the opportunity to strengthen connections and mutual understanding, thereby further tightening the cooperative relationship between the parties.

Artists from the City's Center for Performing Arts and Cinema under the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City performed special performances, including the work "Hello Vietnam" through a musical duet by Meritorious Artist Thu Thuy, violinist Hy Dat and especially the traditional ao dai performance by the Star Global Entertainment model group, along with the works "Dance of the three regions", "Bac Bo Trong Com" and "Treo len quan doc" performed by the Au Co Ethnic Band.

Mr. Mark Chandler hopes that the guests' stay in Ho Chi Minh City will leave them with memorable memories of a civilized, modern and affectionate city.

"After the event ends, the delegates will continue to be companions, bridges of friendship, helping to promote the image of Ho Chi Minh City around the world," Mr. Mark Chandler emphasized.
