Recently, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung chaired a meeting and worked with a group of Hollywood directors and film producers about a new film project.

Ms. Rose Lam - Global Production Director of Riot Studios, expressed her hope that the Ministry and local authorities would actively support and create the best conditions for the film crew to come and film and make the film.
At the meeting, Mr. Nicholas Simon - CEO and Producer of Indochina Productions, also hoped that in the coming time, there will be more specific meetings and discussions about Vietnam's legal regulations as well as the work content to be implemented in Vietnam.
At the same time, he said that filming and premiering this film in Hai Phong will be a good opportunity to promote and introduce Vietnam.
According to Mr. Nicholas Simon, Vietnam is always on the priority search list of international tourists in general and film crews in particular.
With a large and stable audience, an American movie being filmed in Vietnam will certainly bring very positive effects to the two countries.
After listening to opinions and suggestions from the film crew, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung thanked and appreciated the film crew for choosing Cat Ba as the setting for the film.
The Minister stated that the presence of the film crew at this time demonstrates respect for the commitments and memorandums of understanding that the Ministry, partners and businesses have signed within the framework of the Vietnam Tourism-Cinema Promotion Program in the United States in 2024; affirming that Vietnam respects common conventions and principles, and is ready to coordinate with partners for mutual development.

The Minister said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to discuss and work with Hai Phong city to create more favorable conditions for film crews to film in the area, as well as facilitate visas for the film crew.
In addition, the Ministry is ready to accompany and cooperate with the film crew and hopes that the film cooperation will not only stop at this film but will include many other international films and projects; contributing to bringing Vietnamese cinema to deeper integration, joining the development flow of world cinema.
