More than 1,000 global artificial intelligence and semiconductor "giants" come to Vietnam to attend AISC 2025

This morning (March 12), in Hanoi, Aitomactic Company (USA) and the National Innovation Center (NIC) organized the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Semiconductors (AISC) 2025.

According to the organizers, AISC 2025 brings together more than 1,000 leaders and experts with the participation of big names such as Google, Nvidia, IBM, Meta, Intel, TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, Tokyo Electron, Panasonic, Qorvo, Marvell and technology corporations from Silicon Valley (USA). This affirms Vietnam's position in the global AI and semiconductor industry.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Christopher Nguyen, founder of Aitomatic Company, shared: "AISC 2025 affirms the attractiveness of Vietnam as a strategic destination in the high-tech field.

The Vietnamese Government's efforts in promoting the development of AI and the semiconductor industry are showing the right direction, in line with the shifting trend of the global technology value chain."

According to this PhD, the combination of national vision and international investment needs of developed economies such as the US, Japan, Korea, etc. creates great attraction for AISC this year, opening up many important opportunities for the development of the AI ​​and semiconductor industry in Vietnam.

For his part, Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of NIC, said that now is the time for AI and semiconductors to promote global digital transformation, reshaping industries and economies.

Vietnam - under the strong leadership of the Government - is embracing the fourth industrial revolution, recognizing AI and semiconductors as strategic pillars for development.

These sectors offer unique opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to integrate into global value chains.

Vietnam, one of the fastest growing digital economies in Southeast Asia, benefits from its strategic location, skilled workforce and modern infrastructure, along with government support and an open investment environment, the NIC Director said.

"The above factors position the S-shaped country as an emerging center for global technology corporations," Mr. Vu Quoc Huy emphasized.

Established by the Prime Minister in 2019, NIC plays a central role in promoting innovation and promoting the high-tech sector, especially in AI and semiconductors.

In the semiconductor field, NIC is assigned by the Government to develop and implement the Program "Developing human resources for the semiconductor industry to 2030, with a vision to 2050" and coordinate the National Steering Committee on semiconductor industry development.

Director Vu Quoc Huy informed: "We are cooperating with world leading companies such as Qorvo, Cadence, Siemens, Samsung, Arizona State University, FPT, ARM, Dolphin and Keysight to develop talent, provide IC design software support, train lecturers and transfer training programs to more than 40 universities in Vietnam.

At the same time, NIC is incubating and supporting Vietnamese semiconductor companies and startups, including Hyphen Deux, Infrasen, FPT, Viettel, Sovico, CMC, CT Group…”.

In the field of AI, NIC has launched important initiatives in collaboration with global leaders.

"At this time, I encourage global corporations to continue to put their trust in Vietnam and NIC. Cooperation, investment and business in Vietnam will open up new growth potential. Meanwhile, investing in young Vietnamese professionals is the key to building a sustainable future, bringing benefits to both Vietnam and global partners.

AISC 2025 in Hanoi takes place from March 12-14, with main activities including: thematic seminars on "The semiconductor - AI revolution in Silicon Valley" and "The convergence of semiconductors and AI: Breakthrough factors creating a new cycle of opportunities" and the Policy Forum "Vietnam proactively develops the semiconductor and AI industry in the new era".

Here, leaders and experts will focus on discussing new technology trends in the fields of AI and semiconductors such as: Revolutionizing chip design and manufacturing, the potential of advanced semiconductor architectures, and strategic policies to enhance global cooperation.

On March 15, the conference will continue its program in Da Nang City. Senior executives from companies and corporations will participate in exchange activities, roundtable discussions and field trips in the largest city in the Central region.

The conference will see the signing of cooperation agreements in the fields of AI and semiconductors, along with the launch of the 2025 innovation challenge.

In particular, a national project to develop a Vietnamese database for open source will be announced, with the cooperation of NIC, NVIDIA, Meta...
