Responding to VTC News reporter, Dr. and lawyer Dang Van Cuong - Head of Chinh Phap Law Office said that with the results of Ms. G's injury assessment, the police will initiate a criminal case and prosecute this man for the crime of intentionally causing injury according to the provisions of Article 134 of the 2015 Penal Code.
"The victim's image and the results of the forensic examination of a total of 205 injuries on her body show that the incident was very serious and the victim had to endure prolonged pain," said lawyer Dang Van Cuong.
Ms. G's injury rate is 29%.
According to the Chief of Chinh Phap Law Office, with the result of the injury assessment of 29%, the act was determined to be of a hooligan nature, the defendant will face a prison sentence of 2-6 years in accordance with Clause 2, Article 134 of the Penal Code.
The defendant has many illegal acts, and his prolonged behavior shows cruel treatment of his wife, so the investigation agency has grounds to prosecute this subject for the crime of wife abuse under Article 185 of the Penal Code.
"For the act of torturing a pregnant wife, this person will face a prison sentence of 2-5 years. This is the highest penalty for this crime," Mr. Cuong analyzed.
Previously, Kim Thanh District Police (Hai Duong) received a report from Kim Xuyen Commune Police (Kim Thanh District) about the fact that on May 12, on the Facebook Fanpage "My Hometown Dong Thap Muoi", information was posted about Ms. Bui Thi Tuyet G. (36 years old, living in My Lam Commune, Hon Dat District, Kien Giang Province) who was beaten and injured while living with her husband, Mr. Tran Van Luan.

On May 21, Ms. G. went to Kim Thanh District Police to work at the police's invitation. On the same day, the Kim Thanh District Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to request an assessment of her injury rate to serve the investigation.
On May 24, the Investigation Agency of Kim Thanh District Police decided to prosecute the criminal case of intentional injury and wife abuse against suspect Tran Van Luan.
At the same time, the Investigation Agency of Kim Thanh District Police also decided to prosecute and issue an arrest warrant for suspect Tran Van Luan (37 years old, in Quynh Khe 2 village, Kim Xuyen commune, Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong).
According to the investigation results, since April 2021, Tran Van Luan and Ms. Bui Thi Tuyet G. registered their marriage and lived in Quynh Khe 2 village, Kim Xuyen commune, Kim Thanh district. Luan and Ms. G. have a child together, and Ms. G. is currently about 7 months pregnant with her second child.

About 2-3 months ago, due to conflicts in family life, Luan repeatedly beat and abused Ms. G.. Luan used his hands, feet, hairbrush, leather belt with a metal buckle on one end, rice cooker wire... even used a metal clothes hanger heated over a fire to beat Ms. G..
According to the conclusion of the injury assessment of the Hai Phong Forensic Center, on Ms. G's body there were 32 skin burns on the face, the longest one was 7cm; 5 skin burns on the chest, the longest one was 8cm; 8 skin burns on the back and waist, the longest one was 12cm; 3 skin burns on the shoulders, the longest one was 10cm; 9 skin burns on the arms, the longest one was 9cm; 5 skin burns on the thighs, the longest one was 1cm; 45 skin scratches on the back and waist, the longest one was 7cm; 5 skin scratches on the shoulders, the longest one was 7.3cm; 23 skin scratches on the arms, the longest one was 4cm; 70 skin scratches and bruises on the buttocks, thighs, and legs, the longest one was 12cm.
