An Bien district hands over 69 houses to poor households

A working delegation from the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Kien Giang province conducted a field survey at a number of households building houses in An Bien district.

A working delegation from the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Kien Giang province inspected the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in An Bien district; and conducted a field survey at some households that were building houses in Dong Thai and Dong Yen communes, An Bien district.

Implementing the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, in 2025, An Bien district proposed the province to support the construction of 700 new houses, including 89 houses for poor households, 211 houses for near-poor households, and 400 houses for households in difficult circumstances.

The district has built and handed over 69 houses to poor households under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; mobilized volunteer organizations to build 13 houses; 5 houses have no land, 1 house is due to the death of a household member... Regarding 211 houses for near-poor households, the district has organized the construction of 51 houses.

Through reviewing the increase and decrease according to the content of the official dispatch of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province, An Bien district has built a number of additional houses for poor and near-poor households.

Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Kien Giang province Danh Phuc spoke at the meeting.

Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Kien Giang province Danh Phuc highly appreciated the leadership and management of the Party Committee, government, and the coordination of the Fatherland Front, organizations, and armed forces of An Bien district in implementing support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

Comrade Danh Phuc requested the Steering Committee for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in An Bien district to continue to review and closely survey the subjects receiving support for house construction; quickly report and make a specific list of the arising houses.
