In the North, prices range from 71,000 to 73,000 VND/kg, down 1,000-3,000 VND/kg compared to last week, with Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Hung Yen reaching the highest level of 73,000 VND/kg, while Lao Cai, Ninh Binh, Ha Nam, Thai Nguyen dropped to 71,000 VND/kg.
The Central Highlands region also recorded a sharp decrease of 3,000-4,000 VND/kg, prices ranged from 68,000 to 78,000 VND/kg, of which Lam Dong had the highest price at 78,000 VND/kg, while Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, and Quang Tri dropped to 68,000-70,000 VND/kg.
The South, although slightly down, still maintains the highest price in the country from 76,000 to 79,000 VND/kg, with Ca Mau reaching 79,000 VND/kg, but Long An, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau decreased to 76,000 VND/kg.
In general, pig prices are under downward pressure due to stable supply and lack of strong recovery in demand, especially when it is not the peak consumption season. Farmers need to closely monitor market developments to adjust their selling plans to avoid the risk of prices continuing to fall in the coming time.
